
Obtained from olives of the leccino, moraiolo, coreggiolo
and frantoio cultivars, La Sovana extra-virgin olive oil
has been granted DOP certification by the Consortium
for safeguarding DOP extra-virgin olive oil from
the Terre di Siena area.
The olives are hand-picked before they are completely ripe,
which gives La Sovana oil low acidity and a delicately spicy aftertaste, bearing witness to the significant quantities of antioxidants and polyphenols it contains.
