Small thermal location characterized by the presence of limestone deposits, hot water tanks and waterfalls, all immersed in nature that attracts thousands of tourists every year. Very famous is the "BALENA BIANCA" great calcareous formation that recalls the mouth of a whale (balena). Here the water reaches a temperature of 48 °C allowing the bathing even in winter. The waterfalls and the small pools of hot water are surrounded by the lush nature of the forest that give a magical atmosphere for a unique experience. The path that runs along the river allows easy access to the hot springs.

BAGNO VIGNONI:
Bagno Vignoni is in the heart of Val d'Orcia known for its historical charm and the presence of thermal waters known since the time of the Etruscans and Romans. Bagno Vignoni is truly unique, located in the central square you can find a Renaissance-era stone basin with hot water built exactly above the original source of thermal water that was also used by the Romans.
Bagno Vignoni is an enchanting medieval village, full of attractions to discover, first of all certainly the “Parco dei Mulini”, a protected natural area that houses the ancient mills of the city, now in disuse. The water that flows in the large square heads towards a limestone cliff and then divides into very impressive waterfalls while the wall hides four medieval mills carved into the rock, a complex and unique work of hydraulic engineering. These waters finally flow into a basin located in the lower part of the park of the mills where the water appears turquoise thanks to the white limestone deposited on the bottom. These waters are classified as the hottest in Tuscany, their temperature at the source is in fact 52 °C. These are waters of volcanic origin that arise up to 1000 meters deep, absorbing from the ground all the minerals and beneficial elements that distinguish them.

San Casciano dei Bagni is a charming Tuscan village known for its extraordinary thermal waters, full of historic buildings and monuments to be discovered, famous both for its free baths and for its luxurious spa. Reaching the pools to use them freely is very easy: at the beginning of the avenue that leads to the entrance of the medieval village there are a series of large parking lots arranged on several levels and the presence of a road first asphalted and then dirt that slopes down to at the base of the hill which also allows a nice walk in the middle of nature.
